Bangers and Cash Car Bonnet Design

This project involved a number of artists, each commissioned to paint a design onto a car bonnet. The car bonnets will be put on old bangers and travel through eight countries to complete the 1092 miles from Sheffield to Munich. The rally, which is sponsored by 40 teams, will end with an art trail in October and then an auction, where all the car bonnets will be auctioned off to raise money for Roundabout homeless charity. The final design for this bonnet was inspired by Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Go Your Own Way’, an inspiration to take autonomy on life’s journey and not be afraid to do things differently. Taking place across Sheffield from 14-29th October, you can see all the painted bonnets that have travelled from Sheffield to Munich in a charity car rally, raising vital funds for homeless young people in South Yorkshire.
