Idea:
36 days of type is an annual challenge that takes place on instagram, inviting illustrators and designers to create type each day for 36 days. This project was inspired by, and in collaboration with, AJ – a 12 year old with a keen interest in searching for and learning about different bird species. A different bird was chosen for each letter of the alphabet which were individually illustrated each day and posted alongside facts about the species. 30% of UK birds are threatened with extinction so using this project to encourage others to conserve our wildlife was of great importance. The series is available to buy as full alphabet and individual letter prints with money donated to The Wildlife Trusts.
