Family Dance Day – Event Design

The Place is a contemporary dance school based in the heart of London, leading the way in dance training, creation and performance. For their upcoming ‘Family Dance Day’ they needed event collateral that attracted young families whilst reflecting the high quality of their workshops. For this project I used the beautiful event photography of Rob Greig, taken at past workshops, and combined them with hand drawn elements to add further expression, colour and life. Doodles and shapes served as additional design assets which gave the feel of movement and improvisation. The work included leaflets, timetables, event maps, posters and colouring sheets, as well as the logo and illustrative elements which were used in various formats and served as the core elements of the event branding.
