Hand lettered editorial cover for Optometry Today Magazine

I was commissioned by Optometry Today Magazine to create a cover for their issue on Coronavirus – how optometrists are helping the NHS in the current pandemic.

I was asked to create some lettering from quotes that fitted the hand shapes required, along with space for text and other elements. I created the visual for approval and worked up the composition using the soft colour palette provided, allowing for additional text to be added. The illustration needed to look calming, reflecting the reassuring and positive effect of helping hands.
