Optometry Today Magazine illustrations and lettering

I was commissioned by Think Publishing to create lettering and illustration for a the cover and feature article in Optometry Today magazine. The feature was all about Dry Eye Syndrome and how to treat it and so I was commissioned to create some elaborate lettering for the cover and some illustrations to sit alongside the article that helped to illustrate the text. I wanted the illustrations to have a victorian feel, harking back to old medical journals. I created the cover illustration and 11 inner illustrations, including portraits and some additional lettering (see below).

The magazine spreads were then designed by Think Publishing, using the illustrations to enhance the article.
