Chatsworth Renewed Collector Cards

Chatsworth House Renewed exhibition

Chatsworth House is currently running its Chatsworth Renewed exhibition, which celebrates the people who have helped to maintain and restore the house. The exhibition aims to share their stories, past and present, as well as giving an up close and personal view of the fabric of Chatsworth house.

I was commissioned by Chatsworth House to illustrate and design collector cards to help children learn more about the people behind the house. The idea is that children collect a different card from each room to put into a wallet as a keepsake.

I started the work by drawing the portraits from photographs

I then created card designs with the portraits on the front and important information on the back. The cards needed to be simple and informative to convey information clearly at a small scale.

I also designed the wallet for the cards to be placed in, working to a template, ensuring it was fully functional and that all information was clear.
